As part of the first residential project of the second year. We were required to design a refugee house for Habitat for Humanity Ottawa. The objective of the house – 607 is to be redesigned and meet the following requirements of the new homeowners, Adeline and Innocent. The house is redesigned to house Innocent and Adeline’s family of seven. The design concept of the house is welcoming. My goal for the design solution is to redesign a welcoming house that will give a sense for newcomers to feel that they are home. I achieved this in my design solution by applying the idea of open concepts in most of the common spaces
